A game master for every table
We founded Lorekeeper because the best part of tabletop role-playing, a great game master, was also the hardest to schedule. We are building the one that is always free to play.
Emory had run home campaigns for twenty years and spent eight of them in narrative and product at a story games studio. Priya had built voice and language systems at scale, with a particular focus on low latency speech. They met over a shared frustration: the games they loved were always waiting for the one friend with the time and skill to run them.
The technology to do something about that had finally arrived. Language models that could improvise and follow rules, voice synthesis good enough to carry character, image generation that could paint a scene in seconds. Not bolted together but built from the start as a game master: driven by AI, designed for play.
Lorekeeper opened its first campaign in 2023. The company is pre-seed, building full time in Providence, Rhode Island. The team is small and the ambition is not: a spoken, remembering, fair game master for every table that wants one.

Language and voice systems, safety
Priya built voice and language systems at scale before Lorekeeper, with a focus on low-latency speech. Priya keeps the game master fast, safe, and model-agnostic, and builds it full time.

What we are building toward
The game belongs to the players
Lorekeeper is a tool in service of the story and the people at the table. The game master stays out of the way when the fiction is good, and steps up when the moment calls for it.
Honest by default
The dice land where they land. The narration follows the result. We do not nudge outcomes to flatter the player. A campaign remembered honestly is the one worth playing through.
Care is craft
A family-friendly game master is not a restricted one. Getting tone and safety right without breaking the story is a design problem, and we take it as seriously as any other.
Accessible tables
People who never had a game master, or who could never find a group, or who have very little free time, deserve a place at the table. The free tier is real and unlimited in feel.
