Family-friendly by default, and by design

Adventures should be safe to hand to a curious eleven-year-old and still fun for the adults. Here is how we set the dial.

Lorekeeper

Tabletop games are for everyone: kids at the kitchen table, friends winding down after work, a parent and child on a rainy Sunday. So Lorekeeper starts kind. Adventures are family-friendly by default, with no graphic violence, no gore, and no adult content.

Tone and intensity, in your hands

Different tables want different feelings. A cozy village mystery is not an eerie descent into an old mine, though both can be family-friendly. So we give you a tone and an intensity you can set before you play and change any time. Gentle keeps peril soft for younger and newer players. Standard is a classic adventure. Gritty is tense and consequential, and still never graphic.

  • Clear content controls on every account, easy to find and easy to change.
  • A kind refusal when a request crosses the line, with a wholesome way to keep playing.
  • No lectures. The game master stays in character and steers gently back to the story.

Safe to hand to a curious kid, still a real adventure for the adults.

Care is not a setting we bolted on. It is part of how the game master is written, so the story stays warm without you having to police it.
